The thing about permaculture growing is that plants are specifically selected to enhance a particular site, or to perform a particular function. While permaculture plant solutions are as unique as the farms and gardens they are grown in, there are a few common superstar species that do well in a wide range of climates throughout the US.
Loganberry

Growth Habit: Caneberry plant sends new canes up annually by way of runners. Quick to spread. Trellising is recommended for ease of harvest, and to keep canes from touching the ground and taking root.
