"When to Plant All the Things" Journal Sketch: Free Download
This download is literally just a sketch I (Angela of Axe & Root Homestead) pulled from my own personal garden notebook. This helps me to keep my planting schedule in place for the weeks leading up to the last frost date. It offers insight for common crops--when to start indoors, when to direct sow out--and some insights on a few additional plants like garlic, shallots and asparagus. I realize my handwriting may be hard to read for some so there's a typed companion page included in this download with room to fill in your own frost date.
To use this sheet you will need to know your growing zone and identify your average last date of frost in your location. From there simply use the weekly guides to calculate when to plant your items. You can find your growing zone by referencing the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map online.
