Elderberries (Sambucus) have long been used for their antioxidant and healing properties. They can assist in lowering cholesterol, improving vision, boosting the immune system, improving heart health and speeding the recovery of coughs, colds, the flu, bacterial infections and even tonsillitis.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This DIY Elderberry Syrup Kit is easy to make and lasts for up to two months! You will receive one 20oz. package of dried organic elderberries. Simply boil the dried elderberries in water for 45-60 minutes. Strain and add honey, maple syrup or another sweetener of your choice. Then jar and store in the refrigerator. One tablespoon per day (for adults) or one teaspoon per day (for children) will give the body a daily immune system boost to assist in keeping you and your little ones healthy.
Directions for processing the elderberry syrup are included with every purchase. Note that the quantity of syrup rendered may vary from customer to customer based on simmering times, simmering temperatures and location altitudes.
INGREDIENTS: 100% ORGANIC DRIED ELDERBERRIES
If you have a child under the age of one, use agave or table sugar to sweeten instead of honey. If pregnant, use sweetener of choice. Raw elderberry fruit contains the component Sambunigrin which may cause vomiting and severe diarrhea if ingested. We recommend that you consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant or nursing, or are taking any medications.*
