Double Pink Cosmos Seed Packet (20 seeds)
Axe & Root Homestead is finally sharing seeds from our own growing spaces (with free shipping)! I've been seed-saving for years and using my own stock in my gardens. In 2024, I grew more crops than ever and excess seeds were saved to share with other growers. These seeds were grown in my permaculture gardens, totally naturally, with zero additives, pesticides, or herbicides. Small batches are hand-harvested, dried and packaged here in central New Jersey.
About Cosmos
Cosmos are gorgeous showstoppers in the garden. This variety in particular produces roughly 3" blooms with double petals. With their feathery foliage and cheery blooms, they attract pollinators, butterflies, and birds. But their advantages don't stop there. These beautiful plants provide a lot of uses.
Note that due to possible cross pollination in our gardens, slight color variability may occur.

Permaculture Uses
- Cosmos are loved by pollinators, attracting honeybees and other native pollinating insects like butterflies to your growing spaces.
- Cosmos are said to attract aphids away from other crops.
- Use cosmos as a filler to create dense gardens. This will prevent weeds from taking up residence in open areas.
- Cosmos are gorgeous as cut flowers, and can be used or sold in bouquets.
- Most vegetable crops thrive when planted next to cosmos as attracted pollinators increase vegetable crop yields. Be sure to plant near tomatoes, cabbage, onions, peas, beans, cucumbers, eggplant, broccoli, kale, greens, and or Brussels sprouts.
- These plants thrive in poor soils and can survive with minimal watering.
- After blossoming, native birds love to feed on the seeds.
- Each flower blossom produces an abundance of seeds for saving and replanting, sharing, or selling.
- Deadheading is encouraged for increased continuous blooming.
Be sure to understand your own growing zone and microclimate before planting seeds. Research is advised on plant varieties, requirements, and specifications. After seeds arrive, refer back to this product listing for suggested sowing instructions. Instructions will not be shipped with seeds in an effort to save paper.
IMPORTANT:
Refunds will not be provided for ungerminated seeds. These seeds are used in my own personal garden and have been found to be viable. Please research seed sowing processes before purchasing as faulty sowing, user error, extreme weather conditions, or other factors resulting in poor germination rates are outside of our control. No exceptions.
